Mithrandir

Working my way through my backlog of figures, I came across this Gandalf miniature, and was struck by how much it reminded me of some of the early artwork by John Howe.

I decided to stay away from the all-grey Gandalf depicted in the films, and went for a variety of shades of blue grey to bring a bit of life into the model.

From the pose and state of the figure, it seems to be of Gandalf in the Mines of Moria, when he lights up the cavern with his staff and so I replicated this.

He received the same basing treatment as all my other Lord of the Rings figures.
